Estonian Educational Trust

Background to the Trust

Formation of the Trust was inspired by the example of the self-reliant Estonian expatriate community in the UK during the period broadly 1944-1991 when many could only feel free outside their home country.

In London, their efforts concentrated on acquiring, organising, financing, maintaining and enjoying the Estonian House at 18 Chepstow Villas, Notting Hill. At present, Estonian House Ltd. has been the biggest donor to this still rather small charity.

Among other activities, the Trust has been giving some modest support to performances at the Estonian House and elsewhere by Estonian music students in London.
